Dear Loma Portal Parents,                                                                          

Welcome to the new school year at Loma Portal Elementary!  The Loma Portal PTA and Foundation are excited for another year of helping to support our children and their teachers by providing Loma Portal parents with a variety of ways to make a difference for our children.  

We are pleased to announce a great way for you to make a direct impact on Loma Portal.  We have established the Dolphin Fund to help us meet the continuing needs of our students and teachers.  The Dolphin Fund will be an annual giving campaign that will provide Loma Portal parents and friends a direct way to contribute to Loma Portal’s top priorities. 

Over the past 5 years we have seen dramatic reductions in everything from basic school supplies to the elimination of key personnel including our counselor, nurse and even teachers. The continual reduction in state support has forced us to reexamine the role that parents play in funding key programs and support services that allow Loma Portal to excel. 

Through your support of the Dolphin Fund you will help ensure that every student has the opportunity to maximize their experience at Loma Portal.  We look forward to keeping you informed of the impact that your support makes and providing additional opportunities for you to participate with the Dolphin Fund over the coming years.
