Dad's Club
If you've ever wanted to get involved at school but didn't know exactly how...

If you've ever wanted to get involved at school but didn't know exactly how... If you lack patience for politics, committees, meetings, membership, tea parties, whining, bureaucracy, and other fluff...

Then Dad's Club is probably for you.

Most of us guys don't have time or patience for the whole "meet for coffee and talk" part of volunteering. Since we have a LOT to offer as men, and since our kids mostly just want our time, Dad's Club creates a venue for that - and other things that will have a positive IMPACT on our kids and the whole school...minus the fluff. Dad's Club is about "just getting it done".

Some examples:

Campus Cleanup
Weedwacking, raking, leafblowing, painting etc on campus

Haunted House
(October) An age-appropriate SuperFun fog, dry ice, skeleton, spiderwebby, mazey, strobelight, blacklight, fun house that is comprised of about 600 square feet of school real estate. 15 guys set it up in about 3 hours.... its a major community highlight. Other Point Loma School-kids and Private school kids come to this event...that means it’s excellent! come make it be more excellent.

Campout Nite
Check out a 100 inch screen movie projected onto a Loma Portal wall outside. Lawn chairs, sleeping bags, popcorn, music, The Point Loma Pause, BBQ, and playing on campus. Its like a 3 hour recess without class.

Rocket Campout
Ever see a 8 foot tall rocket climb 20,000 feet in 5 seconds? Come to Ocotillo with us launch your own, watch the pros launch theirs, have some great BBQ lobster, mahi mahi, fellowship, fireworks, do donunts in the sand with classmates. Clean fun.

Pancake Breakfast
Early AM for all the kids...get some good breakfast served up by dads club for free! Bring your appetite.

First Friday Fun
Lunch and recess on the first Friday of every month. This is when you come and have lunch with your kid and their class during lunch...then you play at recess with them. This is a BIG hit with our kids.

Don't Just Sit There, Make Yourself Useful!
