The Loma Portal PTA and Foundation are two different entities with a combined purpose—strengthening Loma Portal and ensuring its teachers have the resources they need to educate our children.   Together, we are committed to providing critical resources to fund key priorities for the school.

Given the continued cutbacks in state funding of education, it is imperative that we expand on our efforts and increase the impact our parent community has on Loma Portal.  We stand committed to this effort and in creating an environment where every parent can make a difference on their children’s education.

To this end, the PTA focuses on bolstering student programs and directly funds the music teacher and librarian while providing additional support for assemblies and field trips.   These programs enrich the experience of our students and open a world of learning that would not be possible without the PTA.

The Foundation focuses its efforts on enhancing the school’s facilities and technology infrastructure.  Whether it is the new amphitheater, or the scores of computers that get a daily workout from eager students, the impact of the foundation can be seen throughout the campus.  

We believe these programs are essential in providing our children with a well-rounded educational experience and will directly contribute to their future success.  We encourage every parent to consider how they can make a difference at Loma Portal.  There are countless opportunities to get involved as a volunteer and to contribute your time, talent and resources for the benefit of Loma Portal and its students.
